At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We’re looking for passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our specialist home in Orrell, Wigan.

Our St James home in Wigan supports four adults in Orrell. The home is split across two properties side by side with their own individual garden for each, each property is set-up to support two people and has their own living, kitchen and communal spaces.

In your role as Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager in the running of the home and the team. You will lead a team of care professionals, foster a strong safeguarding culture, and ensure our high standards are upheld every day. 

We are looking for someone who is confident in managing the day-to-day operations of the home, someone who can support the Registered Manager to achieve the highest standards of care and empowering the people we support to become more independent and achieve their own individual outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Level 3 qualification in social care is desirable but not essential. 
  • It is essential you hold a full UK driving licence. 
  •  A minimum of two years of operational experience in a health and social care setting. 
  • Experience in caring for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. 
  • Someone who can mentor a team to achieve their goal.
